Even with the polyjuice potion section in potions last term, it was still had to comprehend.
Even the Hufflepuff common room was different. She'd checked, the board games were gone. And it was...yellower? Mellower? She couldn't quite put her finger on what was different. Maybe it had already been different last spring, and she'd missed out on that, too.
Her new owl had already gone to the owlery, so when she got to the third year girls' dormitory after the feast she slipped off her shoes, ditched her yellow and black tie, and curled up on her bed. She was supposed to be happy to be back. She'd been looking forward to this aaaaaaalllllll summer long. Why wasn't she happy? She wrapped her arms around her knees and sniffed. Her vision was all blurry. She didn't even want to get out the chocolate and mint chocolate cookies she'd had her babulya make for sharing. This didn't feel right. The feast was the feast in Gemma's opinion. Lots of noise, Trent saying in his own words be good and don't die, and now they were in the common room. Without thinking the fourth year walked into the third year dorms and sat on the edge of a bed she occupied last term. Once she had sat down though she realized she was sitting on... feet? "Oh, I'm sorry"
Squinting in the darkened room she then realized she wasn't in the right place. "Wow, I'm so not a third year anymore, am I?" She knew that, she did, but the summer was a blur of things and leaving right after the war had made her forget that she moved ahead one year. That did happen now didn't it, every single year. "I'm sorry I bothered you. Are.. are you okay?" She didn't see any reason the girl wasn't, but she was in bed the first night instead of with everyone in the common room.
