A Poop * k8 *
After the tear-filled train ride with the nice boy, Victoria followed her fellow first year peers onto the boats, looking out for Lisa or Ollie or anyone else she might recognize. Even Daniel. But she didn't see anyone....and so she had ridden the boat with people she didn't know pretending that she hadn't just spent the last few years crying.
Her blue eyes were still a little moist. Her eyes were still a tad puffy. She had a tissue balled up in her fist as she entered the Great Hall for the first time, her eyes immediately drawn to the ceiling with the floating candles and...the sky? Was it the sky right there? She heard herself gasp at the sheer COOLNESS of it before she looked round at the four house tables. Right.
The houses.
Her father had been in Slytherin, she knew that. She hadn't really talked to her mother much about her history since Alix always got really weird when talking about herself. V had learned not to pry into her mother's previous life before her birth. Her dad had filled her in at Alix's house, at least. Slytherin as well...and she supposed she didn't much mind where she went, nor did she have an expectation of where'd she go. Slytherin would be nice. She wasn't sure she'd make it in Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff and Gryffindor...like, whatever. She just knew if she had to share a common room with that DANIEL boy, she would not be happy.
And what house was Fowl in? She couldn't remember that either. Where had that nice boy Jasper been placed? She had completely blanked on the first few names called to be sorted, and now she was worried she'd be all alone. Ugh.
But finally they called her name, and V slowly made her way toward the big hat on the big stool. It looked older and crustier the closer she got, and she was a little nervous that if anyone had lice, she'd have an itchy head tonight. She even scratched behind her ear just thinking about it. She sat on the stool, crossed her ankles, and shifted uncomfortably. Normally she liked having lots of eyes and attention on her, but this was weird and awkward and she was hyper aware of her slight sniffle here and there. That balled-up tissue in her tightened fist was reaaaaally getting squished. Ah....A Slytherin line....but a Slytherin that does not necessarily mean... the hat began from what sounded like INSIDE her head. V just nodded slightly, sniffling again and trying not to have to wipe her nose or her leaky eyes just yet while EVERYONE was staring at her. I see ambition, but do you have to willingness to let grab it? Your boldness is strong, too, and it seems to be only a matter of which could suite your goals better. Both Gryffindor and Slytherin would serve you, Victoria Gellar, but I must go with where I think you would learn to hone in your current skillset... "SLYTHERIN!"
Victoria very quickly slipped off the stool to rush over to her new house table. Slytherin would be good for her, she was sure. She could already feel her heart swelling with pride as she eyed the snake banner hanging above the table. The green color of her house would make her eyes REALLY stand out, too.
