Ignatius Blackthorne -- Order sympathizer Ignatius was aware of someone else's shield charms blocking some of the offensive spells coming toward him, but he was too preoccupied to try to find out who it was. (Heraclitus) His initial outrage spent, he was fighting more strategically now, moving deftly from side to side (yes, constant fencing practice will keep even an older man limber) and alternating between defensive and offensive spells, more aware of what was going on around him.
Suddenly there was a massive noise coming from the distance. Ignatius didn't know whether that was good news for their side or bad, but it fired his impatience anew. They were wasting too much time skirmishing with this first wave at the gate--surely not the most important of the Neo-Alliance followers, but merely wand fodder meant to delay them. That noise could have spelled danger to the school--to the students. They needed to get up to the castle, now.
Drawing back his wand hand, the elderly wizard let forth with a spell which shot forth toward the Alliance army like a great shock wave. |
