| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight NEMESIS UPSTEAD: NEO-ALLIANCE First of all, rude. Nem saw that spell, even if there had been no incantation to hear. Their wand went up again, and they produced a shield charm of their own. With a little extra concentration, they momentarily focused the energy of the shield into one area - where the spell connected - and sent it back towards the caster (Kevin). With their wand still raised, Nem eyed the group closely. McCarthy's parents were two of those who had made it to the fight, but the father's concern was utterly wasted on Nemesis, and not only because he was sorely mistaken in his assessment of the situation. Nem regarded the man for a moment; they had not been oblivious to the possibility that they might encounter the parents or other family members of some of their contemporaries. On either side, actually. Maybe they'd already met some in the other fight. No doubt Jake was around here somewhere too, maybe even Becca. Wouldn't that be an interesting meeting. "Dangerous?" they called back, reaching up with their free hand again to wipe away that slow trickle of blood from above their eye. They stared blankly at McCarthy Senior and his pals, the Inferi between them, while different coloured jets of light from a myriad of spells and no small amount of fire threw their empty features into sharp relief. "It's not that dangerous." The drama, honestly. And as for where they should or should not be, that was all a bit subjective, wasn't it?
But enough chit-chat, at least with the other side. As the Inferi did their thing, and a gasp-could-that-be-a-Gryffindor-wow-shocker-of-shocks tried to fend them off with a bat, Nem watched, glanced towards the woman at their side as she sent off a Killing Curse, and then fixed their eyes on the opposing fighters again as they answered. "Nemesis Upstead. Neo-Alliance. Rosier's favourite student, so they say." Yeah, well. They were probably right. Nem looked at her again. "And you?"
A jet of bright green light caught Nem's attention, and they turned back towards the other group of adults, not waiting to see if the spell connected... and let out a burst of laughter, over as quickly as it had started. "They're going rogue."
For the third time that evening, Nem drew their wand back and whipped it forwards again, sending a lightning bolt spell in the direction of the kill-happy Order sympathiser (Lucille). |
