The first of the stunning spells happened quickly and were met with some resistance. Fortunately, what Finneas lacked in social skills, he made up for with magic. Only then, once the guards were taken care of, he follow Neva's lead in retrieving the stolen wands - pocketing those that belonged to the guards themselves and grabbing ones that likely belonged to students.

Stepping inside after Neva and Gabi, Finneas began passing out wands as well. He tried not to take notice of how crammed the living space was. How miserable it must have been. How horrible he felt for the kids. His heart was slowly sinking, still, for those who were not present and should have been. For Ms. Fox. For Mr. Yoon. For Mr. Trent. For Mr. Stover. All students that had a very special place in Finneas’ heart for some reason or another. One for her zeal. Another for his heart. One for his love of glitter and resolve for good. One for his determined growth.

The guilt weighed down on him as he continued to pass the wands out, only coming back into the present moment when he heard the influx of hurried questions. ”Attention, everyone, please errrrr. Please settle down.” He was never any good with this authority thing, did they know? His voice was shaky (his limbs even shakier) as he addressed those in the group. ”There's not a lot of time. Help is here. We are going to get out. But we, er, we mustn’t let our guards down.” Did they understand? There were still threats very much at play. Finneas' face said it all. There was hope, but there was plenty of fear present as well. ”There is a battle afoot,” he paused, looking at Neva and Gabi with hope that one of them would take over. Finneas was no good at public speaking, certainly not under such pressure.

”Most of you will be taken to a safe room, further up in the castle, those of you old enough to fight… We cannot stop you, but you, er, please be careful.” He paused, turning to his colleagues with a sense of urgency. ”I-I need to head to the towers,” his Ravenclaws and the Gryffindors were still there. He trusted Gabi would go retrieve the Slytherins. Again he turned to the students. ”Listen to your professors, they will tell you what to do next. They will lead you to safety. Follow their instructions. Be careful.”

And with that, he nodded firmly and made his way out of the room in a hurry. He trusted his colleagues to give further instruction. He tripped over his feet, as he began to run.
