He took a bite of his own sandwich. Whilst chewing, he tried to sit a little taller and read upside down what Brody had been writing. Yes, he was being nosy. Was this Ministry business? Luckily for Brody, upside down reading was not yet a skill of Gabriel's, so he could only make out some o's on the page. Nothing helpful for drawing conclusions, unfortunately. The number of o's on a page was not indicative of anything.

Sorry to interrupt?

No, no.

Brody did not think that Gabriel had cause to be apologetic at all. As for this essay? Well, it had been waiting this long to be written {about three weeks} so it couldn’t hurt to wait a little while longer. “You're not. Department of International Cooperation. I’m the Coordinator and possibly the first person you’ll see should you visit the Department.’’ Since it was in his job description to help visitors should they need it. “You’re at Law Enforcement, right?”

Gabriel delving into lunch reminded the twenty year old that he too had to eat. As a norm, Brody ate on his own but today? He found that he didn’t mind his company. In fact, said company could be considered ‘eye candy’. Brody caught Gabriel trying to read the essay. “Nothing interesting,’’ he volunteered, reaching for one of the sandwiches. “Just an essay for one of my university courses.’’ As he sat there chewing, the young man’s thoughts turned to his language homework that was awaiting him afterwards. “Then I’ve got a bunch of translations to complete for Spanish… I’m swamped.”
