Of all the places in the castle, this was one of Tavie's favorites. From here she could watch the giant squid playing in the lake, students flying across the quidditch pitch or playing on the grounds. She could even see the forest from here and daydream about the paths she would wander through on her daily adventures. It was beautiful.
At least... it used to be beautiful.
An endless sea of clouds covered the sky, threatening rain at any moment. There were no kids out playing on the grounds or flying over the quidditch pitch. Barnabas wasn't out sunbathing.
It was only silence. For now that would be enough.
The sixteen year old sat on one of the barrels, overlooking the entrance and imagining herself on the other side of it.
