Shame this wasn't really the moment for trying out Fiendfyre. The set-up was fine, and the activity itself would have been a suitable testing ground... but for the fact it was just a stupid little game. Aces. Jokers. This issue kept cropping up in Muggle Studies; Nem wouldn't have been surprised if Schmoe was doing it on purpose. They side-eyed him for a moment, then looked back out over the arena. Lesson area. Reasonably sheltered from the rain - Schmoe was a decent stand in for an umbrella, if nothing else - Nem considered the situation for a moment, before saying simply, "Could probably take a few of these kids out permanently with the Tempest Jinx." That statement was really just for Schmoe's benefit - plus whoever was still in earshot, sure - because when Nem did turn their wand on the ground in middle of the cordoned off area, the spell they actually cast was a simple, non-verbal Glacius.
Nothing fatal. So mild.
Sure. Finneas didn't know if this answer put him more at ease or made him that much more uncomfortable. Errrrrr. He was glad to see that Nemesis Upstead was willing to help though. That was nice, he supposed. Made him think about to the recycling lesson when Nemesis had given Kale a helping hand. Perhaps there was nothing to be worried about after all.
"Errr.. Yes, of course," he replied absently, his attention still on the students around-Wait. What? "No, no! None of that today!" COURSE CORRECTING. Because UH. YEaH. No striking people with lightning. Pls.
Gabi would murder him. Also. Pls no. He wanted his students alive, that was the eNTIRE POINT.

And then several strange things happened. A few of his students had in part, or entirely, given up. Nets were being thrown, but some of them.... did not end up where they were meant to be. Mr. Flamsteed looked... stuck. There was tree climbing, which was rather innovative and Finneas would be giving silent kudos to Ms. Fox and Ms. Blaze for that. No "muggles" actually ended up in the muggle pen. Which was... y'know. In all this mess, he hadn't even noticed Mr. McCarthy helping one of the team muggle students.
All in all, the activity had sort of.... failed. Which....... was not a terrible thing when you did not like the activity to begin with. So. Errrrrrr. AnYwAy.
Finneas began casting a series of spells. First to stop the rain. Second to get rid of the icy layer beneath them. Third to, er, lift the enchantments around the coned circle. And fourth to amplify his voice again.
"Errrr. Everyone please, er, stop what you are doing," not that people were doing a whole lot of anything. That was the problem.
"I'm, er, afraid we've r-run out of t-time for today." This was a relief.
"For homework you will, er, be writing an essay on what you c-could have done b-better today. P-please come c-collect your things and, er, with that, class is dismissed." That was supposed to be a reprimand, but a) he wasn't very good at them b) he didn't think they deserved one to be honest.
