When he heard about the traumatic event that was William's field trip to the dragon reserve, Camilo guessed something like this would follow. By which he meant: he thought all students would be reprimanded verbally by Headmaster Rosier. He did NOT expect students - and the Creatures Professor - to be locked away in prison.
Standing in the back of the group, still in his pyjamas, he watched with fear in his eyes as the children whose names were called were taken. He took a shaky breath each time a Neo-Alliance follower hurt a student who defied. He shut his eyes as soon as the incantation of the Cruciatus Curse was spoken, but could not block out his colleague's howl of pain. He went through all this, without actively doing anything. He was not angry, as he usually was when he witnessed unfair treatment. He only felt despair. There was nothing that could be done to get out of this situation. He held on to the knowledge that the people being taken away would not be killed. Rosier said they lost their "privilege of freedom", nothing more.
Finally stepping away from his position at the back, the flying instructor moved to the exit opposite Neva and ushered the students out wordlessly.
