Alana headed into the event with a deep breath. It wasn't that her mother was retired that bothered her, no, she was fine going to the ministry every day with her mom not. She was a grown adult, so she didn't mum to help her out, but she would miss her on their lunch breaks or the treats she use to bring when she was going to visit Charles.

Plus, if she was being honest she was nervous with the way things had been going right before shut down. She was being watching, at least she felt like she was and people weren't being very nice. It was like she had a sticker on her back saying she couldn't use magic. Especially that Baine, she didn't trust him and she tried to avoid him at all cost.

Either way, Alana had made some changes with her newly blonde hair and cute new dress. As she headed in her eyes hit the new decorations she felt her stomach turn. How did the greater good people feel about purebloods that were squibs? That's right, they didn't. Everything she was fighting for and to prove that a squib was able to work in the ministry, her mother's own boyfriend seemed to be a force against her. He wasn't though at first and she wasn't sure what changed.

Seeing him she walked over and lightly touched his arm. "Evening minister, I see you redecorated a bit." She looked at him with worry all over her face, worried that he wasn't the person her mother thought he was or worry that something more wrong was going on. She just wasn't fully sure what it was yet and she hoped the man she thought was good for her mother was truly that. "Ch.. minister, I have to ask" She looked around and kept her voice lower, "Do you really think these are the best, I mean aren't they taking us back a bit from everything we have pushed for." Had he not seen the new forms that asked bluntly for status or the way certain department heads treated people?
