Nem just didn't set much store by that branch of magic, not really. They found it impossible to see anything as being set in stone, and predictable by prophecy, and all the lesser aspects of Divination were... well, just that. Lesser. Unimportant. Sometimes, Nem did think about it - more the effect a prophecy would have on a person, how they might be influenced into bringing it to fruition, intentionally or otherwise - and occasionally they read about it, but mostly they could not make an interest in the subject manifest. After a point, it was just conjecture and coincidence.
All this to say that Nem had never had any cause to go to a Divination lesson, or to interact with the Divination professor. Until today, at least. Today they were mixing things up.
Arriving at Kitridge's office, Nem made to knock on the door, but were brought up short by the golden sparkles. "Really." Whatever. They rapped sharply on the wood - shave-and-a-haircut - and took a step back.
Hard pass on the fluffy chairs. Cassie had been keeping more of a low profile since the beginning of the year and anyone that had seen her around the castle would know something was certainly off with the Divination professor, but life was still moving in the castle and Cassie was obsessing in her office over her crystals. She was searching, searching for something to give her some answers, but so far she was coming up short.
Knowing her focus was just not with it again today she turned to start making some tea when she heard the door. Her heart raced every time she heard that door. Was it those hooded henchmen or the darkest leader of all. "Coming"
Turning her eyes around the room quickly to just be sure nothing was out of place she opened the door to find a student. Breathing a little sigh of relief she opened the door farther, "Well hello, please come in. " Moving away she didn't have her chipper tone nor her snaps, but she did have tea to offer the boy. "Would you like some tea?"
