It really wasn't funny. But when you were in a position like Ash's position, everything not horrible was hilarious and awesome. If you did something bad and got yelled at instead of hexed, Ash would consider that the greatest success ever. "I try not to. But sometimes, exploding stuff is fun." Or forced. What Ash meant was, she had never messed up a spell that exploded. She had cast many unwanted explosive spells though. "I'm ready. Don't worry, I have aim. And, despite all evidence to the contrary, I have lots of self-preservation too." She kicked the ball at him. Hopefully he was decent at this game.
