Trying not to let his mind reel in the prospect of any and all creatures on the grounds or in the castle being a disguise, or just what things he had confessed and confided in with some during some of his lowest lows this term...and not just to his pet tarantula in the barns. What if...well...no...he really just...he didn't want to go down that path and he did not want to hold any sort of resentment towards one of his favorite subjects. So, he was counting on you...professor...to make the connection between dog and hockey rink obvious so he could stop fidgeting with the Gryffindor patch on his robes. He had managed to fray some of the stitching since breakfast so it really was only a matter of time before the patch fell off.

In the meanwhile, he was grateful for Camryn's gentle smile. It felt...normal. Even if just for a moment.

So did the start of the lesson, minus the cluster of anxiety that seized his little 11-year-old frame a couple of seconds ago, and the straight forward question and answer bit. The blonde's head reeled in possibility, it was the best part about transfiguration as long as you knew how to balance the equations right...and Atlas adored doing that.

As to the question itself, Atlas soon found himself narrowing things down to one simple instance of experiencing a particular switching spell in action. Mum had wanted to make sure that he and Aries were listening to her about...something (so clearly that had worked out for her) and had switched out their ears for that of elephant's. "There is a switching spell, Bestiar, where you switch one part on a person to that of an animal."

Switching spells were wicked hard though, so Atlas was not optimistic about his chances if they were doing any of those today. Though he would rather switch his head to that of a shark or something and swim out of here by way of the Black Lake than attempt with a Bubblehead Charm. He still hadn't managed one that wouldn't pop after 5 minutes or if any other external something touched it.
