Second. DID EVERYONE SEE WHAT THESE WANNA BE DEMENTORS HAD JUST DONE TO HIS FUTURE GIRLFRIEND SELECTED PERSON OF INTEREST FOR A SOUL CRUSHING UNREQUITED CRUSH?!

The answer to both of these was, in all likelihood, that of course everyone had seen...and Atlas wanted to rush to the older Gryffindor's side but it looked as though she had plenty of options already and...well...Atlas would have been pretty worthless in the situation. Save for telling her that she was still really really pretty even without any teeth and dentures were always an option if worst came to worst.

He wanted to glare. He wanted to throw hands. But his promise to keep himself alive and not red shirt kept him in place. At did Professor Williamson shouting that class would continue. He wasn't sure how he would focus but...he would try.

...trying was not working so well when he saw the figures holding one of Atlas' safe spaces at literal wand point though.

Literally tripping over one of the crates and falling IN to it, Atlas climbed out as quickly as possible so as not to hold any one up while also retrieving for himself one of the keeper helmets and shoving it on top of his head. The sunglasses were next, in a smashing lime green color, which were too big for his face and he kept pushing them up the bridge of his nose while waffling around towards the next crate and retrieving a mirror shard for himself.

He...for sure wanted a partner for this...and naturally his instincts were to look for his brother but since both of them knew no real spells yet...that was a recipe for disaster. As was his wish to work with Quinn, and there was a bit of a longing glance towards the Ravenclaw as he paired with a slightly older Hufflepuff. But the Gryffindor knew he couldn't really help or protect his new friend like he was.

SO.

He needed to find an older student to pair with. And his forget-me-not blues fell on an older Slytherin girl [kayquilz!] who was looking particularly stoic and steady and therefore CLEARLY knew what she was doing. And so...the first year approached her and timidly tugged on her robes. "...um...excuse me...would you please partner with me?" He didn't want to look like he was begging but...well...if the shoe fit.

Aboli listened to Professor W carefully before starting toward the first crate to grab some protective gear when she felt a tug tug tug on her robes. She turned, her face still very hard, when her own blue eyes, only darker, met his much lighter ones. Her features softened. "Of course. Aries...Atlas??? right?" she asked, brushing his hair from his forehead with her gloved hand. "I remember your sorting. Twins," she smiled gently at him before pointing to the crates. "We need to gear up with the keeper gear...get some mirrors, but be careful because they're broken shards. Don't cut yourself." She took his hand and pat it softly. "Then we'll get us a pair of cool sunglasses, a weasel, and we'll be off. You want to control the weasel, and I'll have my wand?" she nudged him gently and tried to make it seem like having the weasel would be the COOOOOOL job.

She used to despise the younger years. Or maybe this new crew were less annoying because of the circumstances? Everything just felt so different, and Aboli couldn't explain this overwhelming urge to make sure they all were okay while also making sure SHE remained okay in order to make sure THEY stayed okay. She led him over to the first crate, grabbing two helmet things and the shoulder pads as well, passing the pair to Atlas!Aries first. "Hmm...what color sunglasses - oh snap they're all leaving - uh UH uh - " BLACK. Of course, duh. She quickly threw them onto her face, pushing them up her nose before grabbing the piece of mirror. Luckily she had her nifty gloves! Her worry for Atlas!Aries grew, though. "Please be careful with this, okay?" She passed him a piece. AND NOW THE WEASEL.

"Grab a weasel and let's goooOooo!" ONWARD. The old feeling of being excited and a little nervous for whatever Williams had in store had returned, and it almost felt normal for the seventh year. "Stay close, Flamsteed." There was the get around if she couldn't get his name right, ha!
