 SUMMER FOREVER
Val was sitting on the floor by the window, feeling completely helpless and frustrated as a million questions ran through her mind. What did those people want?? Did this mean she couldn’t write to her parents anymore?? Wait - will she even be able to see her family?? Her thoughts were getting more and more dramatic by the second so she tried to pay a little more attention to her surroundings.
— some of the older girls were talking about speech and resistance ( which she didn’t quite understand because what could they even DO?? they were just students after all ) but she started to clap too!!
“Speech! Speech!”
