The scowl and grunt he received definitely weren't pleasant but he took it over getting hit with some kind of spell on the forehead any day. Minjae turned to look at the nearest kid who was writhing in agony and although he didn't know what they were feeling he could tell that the curse spelling Liar on their forehead was burning painfully.

And Minjae took a deep calming breath as his wand hand began to twitch, eager to reach for it but again he didn't. Perhaps it was the fact that he was seventeen years old and practically an adult now that he didn't dare go against him. That his brain knew about the consequences far faster than those younger.

At the first set of questions, Minjae tried to look impassive as he began to humiliate his heritage side. But the words still hurt. Minjae did feel a sense of pride when Ash dared to call the man out but it also elevated his anxious state he was still trying to mask.
