Delaney felt exhausted. It took her hours to fall asleep the night before (after she had silently cried under her covers) and once she did, she still tossed and turned well into the morning. So, climbing what seemed like a bajillion stair from the dungeons up to the north tower was a dreadful start to the morning. Not to mention the pair of freaks in hoods that stood at the front of the classroom next to the professor.
“Professor,” She saluted to Professor Kitridge before whispering quietly, “Weirdos…”
She recognized a fellow snake at a nearby table. Emma? Ella? Bella? Whatever. It would come to her eventually. She quickly sat down next to her and waited for class to begin.
