it was really something, you know? The way he had gotten himself into so much trouble since he had left Ilvermorny and arrived in the UK and subsequently Hogwarts. Though this was the first time it was about something academic and not interpersonal relationships...which felt like progress? Typically he chalked it all up to language barrier issues (British was confusing, okay?!) and while he couldn't entirely pass this mishap off as that...it WAS because of a bit of a snag in language that had landed him in hot water this time.
"I know you didn't," he reiterated with a nervous smile. He knew because HE had done it. "And I'll make sure Professor Schmoe does as well." And evenly distributed the punishment because...it was not right that she take the full grunt of this bludger hit. He knew Bernie had a bit of a reputation, one that lent to itself sometimes, but STILL.
And since she had already knocked, he simply stood behind her with his hands rested gently on her shoulders.
