It was scary. It destroyed a lot of department property before it just up and dissapeared." Laurel started to walk down the rows again listening for sounds looking out for more footprints and other signs of the culprit. The golem still disturbed her sometimes. "I wonder what has gotten into Airey, do you think we should call him out on his odd behaviour?" Laurel wondered. She didn't want either of them to lose their jobs for showing that they cared, but it was hard to know when Airey was acting so strangely. Once again, Adam was reminded that for once in his unlucky life he had been blessed not to have been at this particular event. Still, it had been funny that the thing had disappeared into the bowls of the Department of Mysteries. And disappeared it had done because Laurel and Adam had spent more than a few free afternoons trying to locate the darn thing with no results. Perhaps it had wandered into the space room and floated off to be eaten by the star that had attempted to make lunch out of him?
Should they call Airey out on the stranger behavior? "Ja. If ze opening presents itself." Adam was not about to start a fight with the man, but should he yell at them again like he had near the opening, well, Adam wasn't above defending himself...and Laurel. His other coworkers? Well, they might be on their own. He wasn't exactly the knight in shinning armor type after all.
And then there was a weird noise started the shake the shelves. The glass orbs sounded loud as they rattled in their stands, but maybe that was just because Adam's hearing had become more sensitive with the loss depletion of his sight. Adam reached out grabbing Laurel's arm. Row 63. Where were they? "Laurel?" he asked.
