Why was Phoebe pretending like she didn't know? It made Kizzy feel even WORSE. Made her feel really small and stupid and like a little kid (which she wasn't because she was 12.42).

She didn't like being left out. That's what this was. Big inside joke she wasn't part of. It made her feel terrible things. "It's okay," she shrugged, feeling awfully deflated as she played with her own snake. It wasn't doing anything particularly cool, so she shook it up a whole bunch. See? Even the dumb snake didn't want her.

Could class be over now? Kiz needed a cousin Cooper hug or a Matty book hang. Either one would be better than watching her best friend play secret pranks with her sister.
