Besides, she wasn't about to let this woman go in there alone, as she seemed determined to do. "I'll come with you. Whatever this is, it's not something anyone should investigate alone," Jane said in what she hoped was a reassuring voice, but which she suspected was veering on sounding like a soothing governess. Catherina smiled, for someone who she had just met less than an hour ago, Jane wasn't so bad. Not a lot of people would willingly risk their lives for practically a stranger - even if they were co-workers. "Thanks." She said gratefully, nodding her head at the woman's direction.
Then, turning back towards the path of destroyed Orbs, the Unspeakable squared her shoulders and marched on. A little more slower this time - a bit more cautious if you will. It was clear that whatever it was, it was playing the long game.
And so, they walked deeper into the Hall of Prophecy, Catherina occasionally stopping to repair orbs that still had their prophecies in them, and had only suffered minor damage. As they walked, she surveyed the extensive damage to generations of prophecies. What could have gotten into Level 9 that would cause this much damage? Is the Hall of Prophecy just a causality? or is it the main target?
