Zayn's head tilted to the side while Ashley went over the basic details of what seemed like rudimentary clothes washing. It sure did make a simple wand movement and the uttering of an incantation seem like a walk in the park.

"And those machines you mentioned earlier... those run on electricity, right?" He knew about electricity to an extent, among a few other things. "Might explain why those things aren't here at the school. I've heard Muggle stuff like that tends to work a little wonky around here because of all the magic."

"Yeah, well, I have a lot of time. And I have enough energy." She did. There was no surfing here, and surfing was one of the main things she liked to do, so she had a lot of time on her hands even after she did her homework. "Yeah, they run on electricity. So I suppose they wouldn't work here. Maybe in the tech lounge though. Pretty sure some of those game machines need electricity. They had to do a lot of fancy magic to get it to work there." She knew, because she had played super smash bros there once.
