"Ready?" she asked the little girl, wand in hand, eyes SHARP and FOCUSED this time.

Bernie had missed the instructions about finders-keepers-losers-weepers, by the way. Thought you oughta know.

Kinsay knew her odds weren't good to begin with, but then a FOURTH year stepped up to battle her. It was all over. Might as well give up her wand now and save herself the embarrassment. Only she wouldn't do that because Kinsays liked to win and though she was feeling kind of hopeless, she was going to try her very best. Her wand was SPECIAL and she didn't want anyone to take it. Also, she was a Gryffindor and mummy was an AUROR. So she could do this. Probably. Maybe.

"Ready," she replied quietly, but with confidence ~~that she didn't entirely feel~~.

Gripping her wand as TIGHTLY as possible, Kizzy waited to put her plan into action. She bounced up and down on her toes. It would be lots easier if she knew spells, but she knew how to box AND do gymnastics. Those had to count for something!!
