Sophie hated public bathrooms and tolerated the ones at Hogwarts, but they still grossed her out. The less people using a bathroom the better.
"That sounds really great actually," said Sophie. "I'd love to become a prefect some day. Do you have to have really good grades? Oh and it's going pretty well so far. I've met a few other first years and classes are really interesting."
Sophie tugged at a lock of her long blonde hair. "You've been at Hogwarts quite a while," she said. "What are some things I should know about the school? Like any tips or advice?"
Aboli thought for a moment. She wasn't dumb, and she was a very hard worker when it came to her grades.
"I don't think being smart has to do with it - now, I don't think someone completely failing would be eligible for it - but as long as you show effort and school pride and good behavior, you're a shoe-in for prefect!" she nodded and smiled at her.
Look at this. Aboli was being nice to a first year. Fiona had said Aboli would hex them ... PFFFFT. This one happened to be not annoying, so there was no reason for Aboli to hex her.
"Aren't they?" she said about the interesting classes.
"I love them. And this is actually only my second year here...I started as a first year, like you, but I...I missed my family too much and left a month in," she sighed. "
Biggest mistake of my life. I should have stuck it out...I missed out on adventure, learning with peers, and FRIENDS," she siiiighed and looked back at the younger snakette.
"But that doesn't mean I can't give you advice! I would say follow directions from professors...don't loose us points for being rebellious or mouthy. Follow rules, do what's right, and be kind to other Slytherins. We're a family, after all. And we need to stick together. Find friends who really care about you - " her eyes darkened at the thought of Valencia..
"And stick close to them!"
