Cole was trying to decide on what to buy from the delicious trolley treats when Oscar’s scratching up against his jeans leg alerted him to the arrival of another student. Glancing over his shoulder, he recognized the girl from the book shop immediately as well as the kitten in her arms. Smiling a little he greeted. "Hi Ashley! Cute kitten." Reaching down to scratch Oscar between the ears he hoped he was going to keep his cool. Oscar got anxious around other cats. Turning his attention back to the trolley he ended up buying two packs of chocolate frogs as well as some pumpkin pasties and jelly slugs.

Cole had just stuffed everything down into his jacket pockets and moved to the side to let Ashley get her treats when another girl with dark hair and glasses showed up and got talking with Ashley practically ignoring him and his cats presence. Having a sister he knew that she didn’t do it to be mean. Some just didn’t take in the rest of the surrounding until they were done looking at what was in front of them. When she finally turned her eyes on him, he recognized her from the common room. "Hi Juliette. Did you have a good summer?" Cole greeted. He was considering going back to his compartment to read his new quidditch magazine when Heath showed up with a cat in tow. "Hi Heath!" he waved over to the other boy. "My cat’s name is Oscar. What’s yours?"

Oscar was content, sitting on the floor and scratching up against Cole’s jeans legs. The denim smelled good. The kitten in the girl’s arms he ignored. It wasn’t interesting. When another cat showed up with another boy Oscar stood up in all his big gray glory to eye the other cat out. Was it a friend or foe? At the meep and backroll from the other cat Oscar let out a hiss and moved closer to Cole's side.

But this crowd seemed completely oblivious to the fact that they were BLOCKING THE WAY TO FOOD. Not cool. Not cool at all. In fact, it was down right rude. So, after a couple of minutes of sighing inpatiently, this happened.

"Excuse me, pardon me," *nudge nudge* "coming through," *push shove* "YOU AND YOUR CATS ARE BLOCKING THE FOOD!" More pushing and at last she was at the trolley. Finally.

But here she was, and her compartment was far away. Unimpressed with life and more, the fifteen year old was trying to patiently wait for her turn, while trying to figure out what was cute about a cat - when someone (Whitney) came shoving her way through.

???

"You are being terribly rude, you know that, right?" she said to the older girl, wearing the same unimpressed look she had when she had boarded the train and her dad had tried to look emotional for her mother's sake.

At all.

Go figure.

Sort of tip toe leaping about, huzzah for nimble feet thanks to Seeker training and...er...his own personal pursuits...he sort of offered the cat owners weak smiles before happening upon a situation involving two blondes. Yikes.

"Hey hey heeeeeeey...looking like we've got a real CATastrophe on our hands here, am I right?" No one needed to say anything. Josh was ready to smack himself in the forehead and disappear within his robes for the stupidity that had just come out of his mouth. His Boston accent likely only made matters worse - or spared him since sometimes the foreign accent made him appear more endearing and therefore less likely to be spat at for being, well, a bit of a low key high key mess. "It's a crowded corridor and we all want something off the trolley...but...er...maybe the cat people could go find somewhere to sit together? They probably will get sick eating something off the trolley if they get their paws on it."

Like chocolate. Chocolate was bad for cats, wasn't it? Or...was that just...dogs?

Care of Magical Creatures was not exactly a strength over here.

"Hi Cole. Hi Heath. Nice cats," Ashley said politely. She turned to leave and then was violently pushed out of the way by a very angry someone. She rolled her eyes. She was going back to her compartment. No need to be rude. Unfortunately, there was now a scene. coolcoolcool. She was about to panic when she heard a pretty terrible joke. A cat-astrophe? Really? She stifled a laugh for the sake of the kid who said it. "I'm sure we could go to a compartment," she said, attempting to be polite. "In fact, I was already on my way to a compartment." When she got pushed. Oops. That came out a bit passive-aggressively. She stuffed her annoyance back down and tried to look as cooperative as possible. She edged around the group of people and started walking in the general direction that she was supposed to be going.
