(This was likely far from the truth, but she was granted permission for ice cream nevertheless).
With her dessert already in tow (a double scoop of some fruity sorbet with lots of coconut flakes to top it off), Kinsay made her way outside of the shop to find a nice, unoccupied table for herself. It was very busy today, but despite this she managed to find the BEST table Florean Fortescue's had to offer. It was actually the perfect spot to enjoy her ice cream, except for the fact that it was positioned directly under the sun. This made the 11 year-old frown. It did have an umbrella though and Kinsay was smart enough to know how to open it up. So she skipped over with delight after deciding she could handle the task on her own.
Setting her ice cream cup down, she climbed up, onto the round table and lifted the ends of the umbrella to take a look underneath. Hm. Maybe she didn't know how to open it up by herself after all. She did know she could figure it out though. Maybe. Cooper Branxton was having the time of his life this summer. There was some delicious irony in how it was now of all terms that he and dad had gotten mum to come around and allow him to stop homeschooling so he could finally attend Hogwarts like his parents both had. He pretended that the countless mornings he had staged foaming at the mouth (too much mint toothpaste helped with the look) because he was so rabid from the isolation that was homeschooling. Only Cooper was anything but isolated. He just liked to play that card a lot whenever the debate of 'will he, won't he?' came up with Hogwarts. Just one of the many index cards in his stack that he pulled out when such debates over the dinner table occurred.
Fresh from Malkins and his new school robes in the bag in his hand, the budding third year whistled to himself as he made his way down the street...until he saw someone standing on one of the tables outside of Florean Fortescue's. It took him approximately three seconds to place the all-too-familiar head of blonde hair before he was pulling out his latest dumpster find turned restoration project turn friend: his Poloroid SX-70 camera.
After making sure everything was locked and loaded, he lifted the view finder to his eye and waited for just the right moment to snap a shot of Kiz looking both absolutely adorable in her curiosity as well as absolutely ridiculous in her lack of manners. KUCHEEEEEEEEEEEER.
That was the thing with these old camera, especially those repaired by the hands of a teenager. They made REALLY loud noises.
