24. House Elf

Blake found house elves fascinating. He wished he had one but living with his mom most summers, it wouldn’t work. He watched them all term, running around Hogwarts like machines, cooking and cleaning. Did they ever wished to be freed? He heard of a rumor of a house elf named Dobby who was different, but for the most part he felt like the house elves loved what they did. Maybe he should ask them, he’d be willing to them sock for, or maybe since he wasn’t the owner, he would have to get the headmaster’s sock? … so many questions.
