"He is kinda quiet, so he may not have spoken to you. Only reason I know him is that we were partners on a game-show together last summer." And it just so happened that they both ended up here! "Not a BAD smell. Like a good smell. Like outdoorsy...and like my hometown in the Philippines." She said quickly, not wanting him to think she thought that he smelled poorly! "Back to your paperwork, though! You just needed to renew your visa, right?" His work visa. "I can have that done for you TODAY." She nodded a lot and grinned. Cool? Not, it wasn’t cold, but he merely shrugged at the comment. If she ever visited, he was sure she’d discover it for herself. He just hoped the discovery was a better experience for her than it had been for a few people he knew. As for this David, well, he had tired to be quiet. Too bad for him, he’d tried to spy on a man with excellent hearing. And speaking of hearing, the lady sounded like she was on the move again. He turned, following the footsteps. The game show, however, sounded interesting. ”Game schow?” he asked.
Outdoorsy? Philippines? Well, that’s not exactly how Adam would describe his cologne. Nope, that would be more of a woody floral scent. Pause. Well, maybe one could describe his cologne as outdoorsy then? At least she didn’t think he smelled like three-day old gym socks. ”Ja, paperwork.” he agreed. ”Today? Good. Good.” He didn’t like being in other parts of the ministry. Usually bad things happened to him when he spent too much time away from Level 9. Well….bad things happened to him on Level 9 too, but at least those never seemed to be personal. Adam just had bad luck. ” Zis schould be all you need from me . Ja?” He reached into the inner pocket of his lab coat and pulled out his passport, wand permit, and a few other pieces of warn, well folded papers.
