Pretzel
Ewan grinned as Pretzel jumped off his shoulder and couldn’t help but feel amused as it landed at the same time as him. It was like having a partner in crime, only smaller and slightly more erratic. Chuckling at its broken English, he simply continued to watch as the creature went to work, ready to step in if things got a little too messy.
Just as he suspected, it didn’t take long for the little creature to successfully find the gnome although, the dancing on top of its head did seem a little over top and completely hilarious. Scooping up Pretzel with a smile and a “Good job Pretzel!”, Ewan quickly placed the muddy Jarvey on his shoulder again and moved towards the gnome himself, ready to pull it out and toss it out of the mud to one side. He didn’t really mind that his clothes were getting muddy although that had mainly to do with the fact he’d come prepared with old work clothes. “Now it’s my turn to have some fun”. Was he speaking to himself or Pretzel? Both was the correct answer. Reaching down, the prefect pushed some mud out from around the gnome where Pretzel had pushed him further in from dancing on its head and reached in and around it until he had it firmly by the legs and yanked it out. “There we go Pretzel. The trick it to pull it out and throw it to one side away from the mud” . Somehow, he’d turned into a teacher and was now instructing the little Jarvey on how to de-gnome mud but he didn’t mind. Tossing it to one side out of the mud, he reached up to pet the Jarvey again. “You want to try and pull one out or would you rather that dead mouse now?” . Food or fun? Decisions decisions.
