Carsyn's finger was back in the cauldron when she yanked it out quite suddenly at the scolding from Professor Noble. Wait. What. Her finger was in the hot cauldron?? Honestly, Carsyn wouldn't normally do such a thing and the sixth year was struck dumb for a moment at her idiocy before she glanced at the board and then again at her cauldron. Where was she now? Oh, agar jelly. Had she added it already? She honestly couldn't remember, so in went 50 grams more of agar jelly powder.
Taking a glass rod this time, she gave it a stir and then added the saw dust and silver powder. Turning off the heat, she let it sit while she went to get her goggles, gloves and a lab coat. Giving the granules another stir with the glass rod which had too much agar jelly, oops?, Carsyn then took her cauldron over towards the sludge, wishing she had nose plugs too. She took a scoop and scooped it onto the sludge that hadn't been touched by her classmates yet, spreading it carefully over the sludge. And waited.
Was it time yet? It felt like it was time? How did one know when it was done? Close enough.... Carsyn scooped the granules back up and into a trash bag.
Squirting some soap onto her gloved hands and wetting them to lather them, she went over to scrub the area she'd cleared sludge away from and then went to get a towel to dry the area. Sooo with all her classmates, they each just had do one area, yes? Or was she meant to repeat these steps? Was this clean enough? Wasn't there a better way?
