She was still considering it and glancing around when she heard another voice at the front ordering. She turned her attention that direction to smile at the gentleman around her age.

Ever the social butterfly, she couldn't stop herself from attempting to strike up conversation. She just really loved people, okay? "Have you had one before? This place has amazing food." Soup in a delicious and edible bowl? What could go wrong! She couldn't help but also notice his lighter winter attire. "You look like you're someone used to this cold as well. Lived in London long?"

She should look more like she was used to the weather, but honestly she loved to be bundled up and comfortable, even if the situation didn't necessarily call for all the layers.

Still pushing around coins in his hands, trying to make the correct change (Britain’s money had a weird range) Kalen almost didn’t register the young lady’s comment. ”Hmmm?” he glanced up. ”Had one what?” he asked, gray eyes blinking. ”OH! Food… He gave her a bashful smile and then plucked up a few coins and finally handed them over to the vendor guy. His American accent was super highlighted when he replied. ”No-ope…” And in answer to her second question because it also explained his answer to the first, he said, ”Half a year. Just starting the second term of Uni.”

The vendor held out a bread bowl to them both. Kalen took his and then ambled off to the side. A normal person might have ambled on, but Kalen’s inner voice was yelling at him to keep talking. After all, he only knew (pretty wonderful funny) Anna and the blokes in dorm who he wasn’t even sure liked him. ”Winters back home are a lot colder. Never thought I'd say it, but I sorta miss 'em. Where are you from?”
