SPOILER!!: catch up question 2 + mini activity because of migraine and other RL stuff
Cole had done his before class reading, but nothing had really stuck out to him as special about the aparecium spell. It was handy obviously if you wanted to be sneaky as professor Fuller-Thompson had said earlier or shady. He expected that criminals used invisible ink to send messages between them that they didn’t want anyone else to read. To a muggle it’d be just a white paper. Raising his hand Cole said "Aparecium is derived from the latin word appareo that means to make something become visible or to appear." Still holding his hand up he added as an afterthought "Invisible ink would be good to use in say a dairy that you don’t want anyone else to read." Like here at school where you shared a dorm with other guys that could easily get a hold of your diary, read its content and then mock or tease you about it or in the worst case spread rumours with it. Cole hoped that never happened…

Grabbing the quill with invisible ink Cole thought over what to write glancing over at Claudine’s parchment. He didn’t see anything since duh what she wrote was invisible. Focusing his attention on his own work Cole felt confident that he could master this spell without too much effort. Writing down a sentence on his parchment he began chanting softly, but in his head to not distract his deskmate. "Aparecium, aparecium, aparecium." Reaching for his wand, he practiced the incantation some more in his head hoping that he pronounced correctly. Latin was hard.

"Aparecium." Cole said in a firm tone as he casted and tapped his parchment three times in succession. Nothing happened. Taking a breath, he re-focused and tried again as he tapped his parchment. "Aparecium."This time the text on his parchment appeared little by little before it was plain to Cole’s eyes. Hopefully Claudine hadn’t seen that he had written; I want Naya to be my girlfriend on his parchment. He quickly turned the parchment over and slipped it under his textbook to not hurt Claudine’s feelings if she happened to see it.

Before Cole had had a chance to try and write something new with the invisible ink and then make appear the activity was called off. Turning his attention to professor Fuller-Thompson he listened to their new instructions wishing that they’d get to keep the invisible ink quill at the end of class. Feeling confident with the spell Cole got up from his seat to hunt for a secret message paper of his own. Since everyone else seemed to be looking under chair and desks he chose make his way over to the windowsill where there were lots of flower vases and other trinkets. Lifting up a big vase of thorned red roses he spotted a paper. Taking the paper, Cole set the vase back on the sill. Taking his wand he tapped the paper three times as he said firmly "Aparecium." Now what writing would appear?
