The ice cream cake thing was just too ridiculous to address. Even her daughter knew it, look at the hopeless look she got when Paulie deflected that request to the APPROPRIATE caregiver. "No way. You didn't like ice cream five minutes ago." Who was she kidding? "A human-sized cake piece and a dash of niceties is all that's allowed today." Maybe that'd sound a bit harsh to other kids, but not to her daughter. Louisa did have a friendly look on her face when she instructed the six-year-old, though.

'Princess'? "I think I just threw up a little in my mouth," they were acting like they were still fifteen, pffffft. And no, she was not jealous. "Butterbeer flavour for the maiden, please." Was the sarcasm clear or did it have to drip down her chin visibly?

Zara was being a loyal minion friend. Storm appreciated the ickle sticking up for her about the cake thing. Even when her mum set down yet another rule, over all the other rules that she kept forgetting.

"Mkay--" she was about to add something about it not being fair that other kids had ice cream cakes without having birthdays at preschool when she was yanked by the underrated small Zara. "--whoa, okay!" she slid down the chair, "Hey, wait up!" she was the older one, so basically she felt obliged to run after Zara and make sure she didn't, like, dissolve among the crowd. Was it even crowded this time of the year?

"He's at home, he's had--" tough mission was the rest of her sentence but she caught herself, eyes watching the QQQ. Not wanting to talk about her husband's work for the public. "He's had a bad morning." Clearing her throat and being all casual and gracefully changing the subject. "So, do you have any crazy fans?" Tori liked the attention, right?

Though he DID hear his friend's vomitty comment after he called Tori 'Princess,' to which he grinned some more. Old habits die hard, sorry not sorry Helen. "Ew, butterbeer, ya weirdo." That was like that worst ice cream flavor. He turned to go join the kiddos in line, but was cut short by his son sprawled on the floor at his feet.

Tino had only been standing on his own two feet for a second or two before ZARA went and plowed him right over on her way to the queue. He toppled back onto his bottom before he knew what was happening. It wasn't so much that it hurt, no. But HE was the baby boy, you know, and being pushed over was no way to treat the most important member of this family.

Crocodile tears brimmed his eyes, the chin started to wiggle, and then – WAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIILLLLLL. The whole shop was to know about this injustice as he sat on his bum, feeling sorry for his poor, neglected little knocked-over self.

"Oh gosh, Tino, ya could put a freakin' mandrake to shame," Paulie added as he swiftly knelt down to set the two-year-old on his feet again. There was some necessary comforting and 'aww poor you' stuff before Paulie redirected him back to the appeal of ice cream, and they joined the two girls in line.

What did Louisa mean by that, necessary NOW? "Now is the perrrrrrrrfect time," she purred for a reply. "We have THREE children here today. This is the EXACT everyday life STUFF my readers want to see. You're just lucky I didn't bring my camera and vintage selfie stick I found on e-Buy." Or whatever it was called. Tori was PROUD to write for Muggles AND wizards, thank ya very much, but it took a lot of work to balance the two. Not to mention, er, actually doing all the things required by motherhood and domestic bliss.

The children, unnoticed by the so-called perfect mother, were already causing a ruckus in the shop. The smallest one was toppled like a Jenga game by the older fire-haired sibling; the eldest of them all, meanwhile, quickly became sucked into their pursuit of the frozen delicacy. The raven beauty, however, was also absorbed, preening and censoring herself much to the dismany of the media.

See? Paulie was on her side. Look at him, picking up Tino like, so perfect like that. Tori maybe even got a little misty-eyed at the sight of the two. HER BOYS. Her baby. She had to resist the urge to run after Valentino and mollycoddle him some, especially because of his WAILING. But all the best books said to ignore it! So she sighed and stayed seated.

Plus, y'know, she still had to look cool in front of Louisa. Old rivalries die hard, OKAY?! "You're no maiden," Tori stated LOUDLY, along with a chortle at Louisa's expense. Her green eyes did land on Louisa's face, though, at the mention of Legend having a... bad morning. Aww. Tori decided to hold back her next biting remark. She'd go along with the subject change, for now. And not just because she LOVED talking about herself.

"I dooooo." Beam! "One of them shares a photo of his cat every time I post a picture of Tino. I don't see the resemblance and I DON'T get the joke." That guy was mild though, compared to some of the mail she occasionally received. "Did you know I had to stop using my surname Bunbury? Apparently there we have some real haters out there???!" Weird, right?! But whatever, Foster was her Paulie's name, and it sounded great with her first name too.

Zara was off in Zaraland, igorning her brother, her dad, and everyone except for Stormy and the ice cream, duh. She was bouncing on her tippy toes in an effort to seeeeeee some of these ice cream flavors, but all she could spy was....

"I'll have what SHE'S having," Zara announced to her dad, or whichever grownup was listening. SHE was STORM by the way. Her idol. *__*
