Islay had been making her way to the duck pond, not for ball related reasons…but to just get fresh air and avoid the drama of the Gryffindor common room. Because lets face it, Gryffindor was always dramatic.
It was only when she was there, and when she had spotted Kimmie that she finally settled on something to do. Whatever Kimmie was doing sounded better than staring at an empty duckless duck pond – right? “Hey Kimmie!” she grinned as she walked over to the girl, “what’s with the…” what were they called again? “waffle – no…quaffle?” she asked after first messing up the name.
K leaned her head back to look at the approaching voice, smiling slightly as she saw who was coming.
"Hey, Islay!" She pulled herself up from the ground and held up the bottoms of her school robes so she could fish out the now floating Quaffle. Her shoes were a bit soggy now, but it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. If she'd been smart, she would pull out her wand and just dry them once she was out of the water, but she couldn't be bothered.
She laughed at the older girl's question,
"Mm. I would so much rather have a waffle right now." Because food was always going to be better than a ball.
"I was trying to invent a game?" Which sounded silly saying it out loud, but that was why she was here.
"What brings you down here?"
