And why was Sparky trying to get toward the cage?

No no, he'd stay right here in his lap...until now because partners? The Gryffindor rose to his feet and looked about for someone but dang these filled up quickly and being the new guy, no one was really tripping over themselves to grab him. Kitt looked around, then over at the professor as he was handing Cecelia--that was her name, yes?--to a pair that were already partners.

"Oh! Oh! Ooohhhhh! Professor!" He waved his hand frantically despite not being all that far from the man. Sparky, he held close because he was still acting up. "I too would like to also have a partner as well."

"Can I have her instead?"
