"I had some free time this afternoon and thought it was as good a time as any to drop by. As you no doubt would've noticed, there was no announcement on the new head of Gryffindor. That's because I wanted to come and let you know myself. I'll be the interim Head of House until someone else steps in. We've got at least the year together and despite the panic on several of your faces," Really, relax kids, "I'm looking forward to it. I'm here if you've got any concerns, questions, need extra help, all the things a Head of House would be responsible for. Before I move on, are there any questions?"
"...." Bernie gaped at the Headmaster, not at all sure how to answer this now. She had been ABOUT to say that she was sorry for getting herself expelled and how there was no need to call in the DMLE because she'd take her expulsion quietly, mostly, with only a few waterworks, but this....he....HER HEAD OF HOUSE NOW?!

Why????????????

"You mean I'm NOT being expelled?" He'd asked for questions and yes, this one was important. She needed to hear confirmation straight from the Head Lion's mouth, pls.

Cole looked over Headmaster Trent and greeted quietly "Hello Headmaster!" Hearing what Bernie whispered to Carsyn he looked over shoulder at the younger girl trying to sound reassuring. "Don't assume he is here to talk to you. It could be a totally different reason."

Several minutes later Headmaster Trent announced that he was their new head of house instead of Professor Sandhu. Remembering his talks with Professor Sandhu about certain things Cole asked. "Professor Sandhu's door was always open if we needed to talk about feelings and worries and every day stuff. Is your door going to be open for that too whenever we might need it?"
"I think this reason might be worse?" Bernie whisper-replied to Cole.

WHO was supposed to be her advocate TO the Headmaster if HE was going to be playing Judge Judy and Executioner now?!

hEAd oF HouSE??

What. But. No. Being Headmaster was bad enough, what with all his rigid rules and his lack of affection and L O V E for his only son at official functions and in classes. But now he was going to be his Head of House, too?!

Without much thought, he blurted out, “You can’t.” No ‘sir’ or ‘Headmaster’ or ‘Professor’ found.
"What Kale said, but as a question," Bernie piped up, again, with her hand in the air this time. Why? Why not? "I mean, you can't take this role on sir. Surely it's TOO MUCH work and stress for you? With a whole school to run? And Defense classes to teach? And duelling club? And are we going to have drama club this year? Someone told me you were in charge of drama club and I'd very much like to stage a production based on wizarding history, sir??? Sir???"

See? She had like SO many questions. Her HoH had to have a lot of patience for her and all her questions, and she wasn't sure Kale's dad had that anymore, so uh........ yeah.

The Fat Lady's portrait was thataway, sir, if he wanted to get out now. She wouldn't blame him.
