It was early. Well okay, not really that early. Eight in the morning wasn't all that big of a deal normally but he had hardly slept a wink last night. His excitement about all things new had kept him awake. Thankfully it didn't seem to show much as he stood near the lake with everyone else. The early morning sunshine and slight breeze from being so near to the water at this time of day was also helpful in keeping his young mind alert and ready for whatever was to come.

It wasn't to big of a surprise really for the topic to be about water considering where they were all gathered. Lukas turned his blue-gray eyes onto the lake. He knew exactly what lurked in its depths courtesy of his much older siblings. All the obvious answers coming quickly to his mind, specially drowning and all things creature related. Those weren't the only dangers though. Knowing the water you were heading into was extremely important. "Drop-off points can be very dangerous. If you're out in open water or in a body of water that you're unused to it can catch you completely off-guard and have serious consequences." Especially if you didn't know how to swim or where little kids were involved.
