"Yeah. And you're... Lilah?" Bellchant. Nem generally paid little attention to the younger students unless it was deemed necessary, but the information filtered in all the same, especially with some of them. He lounged back on his heels and hooked his thumbs into his pockets, but for all the relaxedness of his posture still seemed to be fully engaged in the conversation. "Oh, yeah. Summer's been fine, not much to write home or anything. What about you?" And. "What brings you... here?" He gestured towards the general shop area with a jerk of the head.
Isla gave an amused laugh at the way he mentioned her 'criminal career'. It was nice when you could meet somebody (properly meet somebody, in this case), and be able to joke around like that. "Isla," she said, giving him a slight correction of her name.
"Good guess, though." She was surprised he at least got close enough to give her a rhyming word.
Her eyebrows furrowed inward. Did he mention...writing home? Had he been away from home or something? She decided not to pursue that train of thought. It might be too personal or something, and if he'd wanted her to know where he'd been, he would have said as much.
"Summer's been good. We didn't really go anywhere this summer, which was okay by me. Sometimes it's good to just be home," she replied. Her mom had been super busy with some job assignment she'd been tasked to anyway.
She was just about to open her mouth and answer his last question, when her mom appeared in the doorway to shop. She gestured her daughter to come along, which probably meant it was time to leave.
"I have to go. I'll see you around," she said, and on that note, she turned on her heels and joined her mom.
