Michael didn't know why, but he found the idea of brewing potions in cauldrons rather... funny. So when they entered this shop, he looked around curiously. The cauldrons must be magical objects if they contained potions, right? So they examined them for a sign - any sign - of magic. He didn't know what he expected, to be honest, but lying there completely still wasn't... it.

"Well," Brendan said to him in Gaelic, "what type of potions do you think there are?"

Michael shrugged. "One to make you two headed, one to make every food taste like haggis, one to make..."

As they discussed cauldrons, Mrs. English was lost in her own world too. While Michael was disappointed, she was quite satisfied. It said here that some cauldrons were automatic (okay, it didn't use that word, it said 'self-stirring', but it was the same thing in the end, right?), and she really could use one whilte cooking. The only problem - well, question, because the 'problem' was actually its price, it was quite expensive - why was it so expensive in the first place!? Was that a hard spell to do? It must be... Would she be able to use it at home, without any wand? Well, she could always buy a wand for herself... would it work, though? Ugh she really could use one... and this cauldron here was stirring on its own. She looked at the shopkeeper, then calculated desperately, which was in vain. She didn't know how much the rest of the shopping was going to cost. If the cauldron was 20 galleons, the wand that cast this spell in the first place must be 100... she sighed and walked over to the school display. Maybe, once they had everything... or maybe, Michael could cast one of her own pots at home to self-brew next year, although... if this cauldron was so expensive, she didn't know when Michael could even learn the spell.

"...I bet there's also a love potion," Michael said excitedly, "you still love Fiona, don't you?" He grinned viciously, as Brendan looked over their mum to see if she heard before shushing him. "Oooooh, don't worry, I'll brew you one!" Except, if these rather boring cauldrons could even brew anything. You'd expect much more from magic.

"Hey mum, can we get one of these?" At least the self-stirring ones showed some sign of magic.

"If we have any money left, now c'mon, get some of these bags," she told her sons before leaving the shop. Hopefully... how much did these wizards earn in the first place?
