The salty crush was the BEST part, and truly, Beth would have originally asked if he wanted to go anywhere and let him decide but this was food. With a pause she whispered “I didn’t give it back…I gave most everything else back but if he willingly gave it away after that its like…not cool?” she shrugged or maybe it was like her little heart holding onto hope?

Beth raised an eyebrow as Chase asked for examples and grinned. ”well you and I both gave Stella the nicknamed Firecracker – remember the little blonde first year?” she asked with a grin ”and the others are lame like I called Reece red for a bit…but I mostly called him Reeces or extend his name by exorbitant amounts just to see how he’ll respond?” really, none of the other ones felt as definite and right as Salty had. It had felt true the moment she had used it. ”I don’t have as much fun changing their nicknames up all the time – like c’mon…I’ve called you Salty, Mr. Salty Pants, Señor Salty Pants, something like the saltiest salty something in the universe once but I don’t remember that one…yours is more fun” she admitted with a smile.

Next weekend? ”ooh that’ll be fun – would you want to do like Karaoke or something?” she asked with a grin as music was one of her favorite things after all. Was he winking at her?...because she said she’d hang out with him and Lucas? ”you’re….making me suspicious Chase – like you are secretly up to something and I haven’t put a finger on it yet” she dramatically watched him because that blink wink move made her soooo suspicious…as did him being in her debt.

Chase’s whole entire face had changed as he spoke about Maeve, and it was like his face had almost flushed. ”yeah…no, I guess its just that I’ve known you since I was like twelve?” she admitted with a grin as she shrugged her shoulder. ”…yes, it is endearing…like it could make a recently single girl realized yeah love isn’t just some fairytale” she grinned at him as she reached up and gave his shoulder a pat. AGAIN being stubborn and hungry she put an order in for two of the sandwiches – because after all she knew the best ones so far. Their number one seller too.

”no, she…you’ll see” Beth gave him a soft smile as she looked at her phone. Cordelia was almost there – okay so sooner than later. Adding another sandwich to the order she just took a steadying breath. Her world was going to change for like FOREVER today. ”she’s on her way” she added as she looked around.

Come to the street vendors, please that was all the warning Cordelia had gotten before arriving there. It hadn’t taken long for her to arrive – considering she knew exactly what the little Bee had been going through. The quiet way her twin had been dealing with the breakup – like she were forcing a smile through the pain.

She didn’t except this though to see Beth smiling in a way she hadn’t seen since before the train ride home. The one where she had spent half of the ride petting her sisters hair as they sat in an empty compartment and she had quite literally cried herself to sleep in her arms. WHOEVER this guy was deserved a gold medal for bringing that beaming smile back.

Even if she knew deep down that it was likely only for a moment – that Anabeth would likely go back to moping around the flat in a rather ramshackle looking old hoodie and not even washing her hair. She had washed her hair, Cordelia noticed as she stood just out of the way before walking over toward the group.

The slightly taller blonde worked up the nerves to speak. When she did her voice was barely above a whisper – the way it always seemed to be when she was talking in a group of people, or to someone new.
