Or did someone else sitting on the edge of the fountain, like that boy over there was doing now, affect it at all? Were there two internal timers counting down? How did it know-

Water from the fountain sprayed her shirt sleeve right then, startling her. "Eep!"

But then, "Cool!"

Her experiment worked!! Kinda. ~~Not really.~~

Blinks.

Was she just??

As if on cue, the fountain sprayed him on the neck (good shot tbh). The boy yelped in surprise, his hand shooting to his damp neck. "What the...?" Had she done that? His cheeks flushed red and he averted his gaze, a nervous tickle rising in his tummy.

Still no sign of his mother, his eyes landed on the girl again. "How'd you um.... get it to do that?"
