And yes, she was more interested in forming a conversation with her Housemate now that she had it in her head that Bernie didn’t want to be her friend anymore, based on the girl’s demeanour. Furthermore, Claudine chose to ignore the huff, whatever it was about. “Fine. We’ll buy two each and then you’d never have to be my friend again.’’ Her reply to Bernie was condensed into those words, her tone cold. One could figuratively hear the walls she had let down for Bernie going back up again.
