Your efforts are not wasted." OOC: You now have permission to move on to THE FINAL PHASE. As Schmoe spoke, Isla started to really feel bad about this whole thing. It wasn't that he
made her feel bad. It was more like...she knew she hadn't given this whole assignment a fair chance. She kind of figured she'd looked on it so poorly for so long that she had made herself more miserable with it than she should have. She looked over at Blake, wondering what he was thinking about it.
"You're right, Professor, and thank you for the encouragement. I'm going to spend the last bit of time I have with Ellie trying to look at things with a different perspective," she said. On the bright side, they'd kept the baby alive, and there had been those few winning moments that had made her proud. Plus, she'd gotten to know Blake better, and he had been a great partner.
"Why don't we take Ellie on a little family outing?" she asked her partner. She began gathering up all the baby supplies they'd come in with. Going to and from places was a lot more involved with a baby in tow. That much she'd learned for sure.
