Claudine had been too numb to actually do more than to nod silently at Headmaster Trent. She had done this without meeting his eyes and as she lay there on the bed, she didn’t think that she would be looking at him nor Fuller-Thompson directly in their eyes for a very long time. Obviously Trent had not believed a word about what Claudine had said to defend Bernie and for the reason he had come down more harshly on the Gryffindor.
The Snakette was sure of one thing though: expulsion had never been nor will ever be on the list of things she wanted to achieve in her lifetime.
