"Well, I started here quite some time ago," a woman did not reveal her age, after all, "In the Magical Creatures department. I worked with the Spirits division, helping with containment and control and relocation." And ghosts were hard to relocate. "I did that for several years until I was promoted to the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister about five years ago." Which was a huge promotion that she hadn't necessarily been qualified for, but that was when Morgan P. Nickels was the Minister and he was... well, he was insane. Luckily for her, she was good at learning on the spot.
As for her stalker... "No, thankfully we never came in contact. I had quite the security detail for a while to ensure that." The waiter finally came and delivered bread to their table, as well as taking their orders. Fletcher had decided upon the steak and scallops, and stuck to it, feeling smug about his selection. Once the waiter walked away, he resumed their conversation about work, buttering a roll for himself as they talked.
"I wouldn't have pegged you for a Creatures person," he admitted affably, though on second though, it did make sense that January had worked with ghosts and spirits. She seemed calm enough for that task. "I imagine that would be interesting work though. What drew you to spirits?"
She did seem more like someone to work in the Minister's office though. Fletcher nodded, looking thoughtful as he wondered how she had acquired a stalker. "Do you think it was someone at the Ministry?" Maybe someone who no longer worked there? What a mystery! He was so interested in this. Fletcher could be a detective; just let him try.
