Run? Yes, run little tasty things, right into the snapping pincers of those in wait. The girls could run for the exit—if they could get through the wall of spiders building or they could run deeper into the forest. Personally, they would prefer them run right into their mouths. It would save them an actual hunt.
A blast from behind them scattered the spiders momentarily but another four quickly crawled over to take their place. They would not pass.
Another set rushed out toward the man and his barking companions. They were not off the menu and dogs were easily carried away as needed when the time came.
There would be a feast tonight.
A pair lunged forward. One sunk its pincers into the first girl (Bernadette’s) shoulder in a vice like grip and behind tugging her further in. Another latched on to the other girl’s (Claudine) leg and began the same.
Was someone getting the dogs? They were the appetisers before the main feast.
