Charlie was heated. Very. She wanted no part of this. She had helped her mom with the twins and that was real life experience, all because her dad was out of the country for the first year of their lives and she was the oldest kid. Each conversation with her mother got shorter and shorter until her mother simply told her she had to do the assignment or else. She wasn’t too sure what or else was but she was fairly certain that she didn’t want to find out.
She huffed and puffed and finally saw that there were babies along the back, she didn’t want to do this alone. Co-parenting would allow her a few minutes of reprieve. But it looked like everyone was already paired up. WAIT A DARN SECOND! She saw Heath was in there yelling about where he could get a baby. Maybe they could work together? Would that be a thing. She snuck over to him, making sure he heard her so she wouldn’t scare him. She did not need Schmoe attention yet. “Hey Heath. Wanna work together?”
She tried to give him puppy dog eyes, and a bright smile, but she wasn’t so sure those tricks would work here. But she refused to work alone. Her eyes kept glancing over to Schmoe to make sure he hadn’t seen her yet, at least until she secured a partner.
