This was not said so much in a sarcastic kind of way, more like... defeated and deadpan. Not that it really mattered either way, as Schmoe hardly seemed the sort to pick up on either tone, which was something Kaiser found himself oddly envious of. What he wouldn't give to be totally oblivious to tone and undertone from time to time. It was the only situation in which he agreed that ignorance would indeed be bliss.

"Thank you, sir," Kaiser said, taking the certificate and tucking it, with some difficulty due to needing to momentarily juggle the doll, in his bag. Then, after hoisting the baby bag and switching the fake baby to the other arm, he took his leave.

The second he was out of the door, it began to cry.

This was going to be... a very long assignment.
