Platonic Love in Books

Sometimes we just aren't in the mood to read about romance but that doesn't mean that we don't love love. There are different kinds of love, though, and this Valentine's we aren't focusing on roooooomance but, instead, we're going to celebrate platonic love! Platonic love is strong non-romantic love between people, for example best friends.

We want you to share your recommendations and discuss them with each other! Any interesting questions posed in your discussions will be added to the index below and your book recommendations will be added to the index in the second post. If you need some inspiration, there are already a couple of questions listed to get you thinking. As for recommendations, you can include ANY book that features platonic love, whether that's in the form of bromances, ride-or-die best friends, sisterhoods, or whatever other friendship-y and non-romantic love you can think of.

And at the end of the event, there's going to be an extra little surprise, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

SPOILER!!: Questions Index
  • What do you like about reading about platonic love versus romantic love?
  • Which book characters come to mind when you think of the phrase ride-or-die?
  • What book features the best bromance, in your opinion?
