She wasn't prepared for the kiss, it wasn't at all what she thought would happen with this encounter but she didn't mind it either. Feelings that had been there coming back, thoughts of how good she was doing just a short time ago and now.. this back step she had taken, would he even deal with it or think it childish and walk away. Plus with James, was her head ready to think of deciding or anything really. So when he broke the kiss she tried to steady herself with the chair near her.
Good, good, he shouldn't presume anything, no Z didn't go well with presumptions about her. Getting her focus back she moved her hands as if smoothing out a dress, though she had jeans on and there was no helping the wrinkles that had been placed in them. She had to look a mess, no sleep and trying to figure out if she should even head home. Her parents would be furious, though she was an adult she had been living in their guest house.
Dinner? She glanced at her watch, he was asking her to dinner.. tonight? "No" That's all she answered before sitting back down at the table she had originally been occupying before he came. "I am going to sit here and finish this coffee, you are going to go finish up your work. Once you are done you can come right back here and we can go out for breakfast and see what happens from there." Maybe they'd have dinner later or maybe he'd bolt before the evening even came. It was more convenient to avoid going home anyway and who didn't like going to breakfast, it was a great idea if she said so herself.
